Moody and Macchiolina

Two other of my zebra finches.

left:
Macchiolina: He got his name from the small white spot on his head (his name means, literally, "Little Spot" in italian). I love calling to him even if he doesn't seems to care at all that I like him... He's deeply attached to his female companion, Moody.

right:
Moodylicious the 3rd, aka "Moody": Her name came after I showed a pic like this one to Soupy. We were both amused at how pissed she came out. She's deeply attached to Macchiolina and they both sleep on the pole side to side.


They both are a bit of a disaster at parenting. Last time they tried, all the chicks died of cold because neither Moody nor Macchiolina knew what to do with these small pink things that kept moving and opening their beaks to request food. Right now Moody has laid one egg (they would have been too if the previous egg didn't disappear under mysterious circumstances. And it's not the first time it happens either). I'm expecting more and I'm expecting that this time they know what to do a bit better than last time.
